All classes are held at the Waterville Branch Library - 800 Michigan Ave., Waterville, OH 43566

NO ART EXPERIENCE NEEDED FOR CLASSES! 

Sign up immediately! Don’t miss your chance. You must register at least one week prior to each class date to secure your spot.

Class 1: Needle Felting – Felted Accent Pillow

Instructor: Julie Verhelst

Date: March 19, 2019

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Age Level: Adults

Cost: $38 includes materials, instruction and use of the FeltLOOM.

Join fiber artist, Julie Verhelst from Sunny Meade Alpacas in creating a unique, one of kind needle felted, small accent pillow to brighten your home decor. Your pillow will start with a black or white background, embellished with your choice of multiple colored alpaca/merino wool roving embellishments. 

No art experience is required for this class, you will be instructed on felting and assembly techniques. As an option you can skip the assembly and simply create a beautiful flat art piece for display if preferred. The cost of the class includes materials, instruction on the use of the FeltLOOM. 


Class 2: Jewelry Fabrication 

Instructor: Tana Johnoff

Date: March 20, 2019 

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Age Level: 18 years through adult (Chemical etching) 

Cost: $30 

Description: Learn to etch and fabricate jewelry. Design and create a pair of earrings 

etched aluminum. File, punch, and assembly required. Reading glasses are recommended.

        

Class 3: Paint Your Pet 

Instructor: Nora Sallow

Date: April 9, 2019

Time: 6:00 - 8:30 

Age Level: Ages 12 and up

Cost: $35 

Description: Paint an 11”x14” acrylic on canvas featuring your dog or cat. Canvas, paint and brushes provided. Bring two clear photos of your pet, an old shirt and paper towels. 12 class size limit.


Class 4: Bead Art 

Instructor: Tana Johnoff

Date: April 13, 2019

Time: 10:00 am - Noon 

Age Level: Children ages 10+

Cost: $15

Description: Students will learn to make rolled paper beads. Participants will cut and roll the paper, allow for drying time then string them into a work of art. 


Class 5: Painted Wine Glass  

Instructor: Karrie King

Date: May 1, 2019

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 

Age Level: 21 + adult

Cost: $35 - all materials will be provided including glasses

Description: Design and create your own unique set of wine glasses.  All directions, supplies, tools and 2 wine glasses will be provided.  You may bring your own wine glasses or choose from a variety that will be provided. Previous painting experience is not required.  Short cuts and tips will be shared. 


Class 6: Whimsical Daisies Paper Flowers     

Instructor: Mary Willets

Date: May 8, 2019

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Age Level: 8 years (with adult helper) through adult - no art experience needed

Cost: $25 - all materials will be provided INCLUDING the vase! 

Description: Instruction will be given to create a "unique to you" bouquet of whimsical daisies. A huge assortment of colors will be provided to choose from to suit any creative style.  After snipping and pasting, each paper gardener will leave with a handful of beautiful 4" multi-layered daisies in a charming glass vase. The only requirement is to be brave! 


Class 7: Painted Wine Bottle Hummingbird Feeder    

Instructor: Karrie King

Date: May 15, 2019

Time: 6:00 - 8:00 pm

Age Level: 16 years through adult - no art experience necessary

Cost: $35

Description: Have the happiest hummingbirds in the neighborhood with your hand-painted wine bottle hummingbird feeder!  Be creative with this DIY recycled painting project.  All directions, supplies and tools will be provided.  You may bring your own wine bottle (with the label removed) or choose from a variety that will be provided. No previous painting experience is required.  


Class 8: Fairy Lights 

Instructor: Tana Johnoff

Date: May 11, 2019

Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Age Level: Parent & Child 

7 years+ 

Cost: $20 for two

Description: Super fun parent/child project! Enjoy a morning of crafts with your child. Learn to create your own fairy garden lights using egg cartons, acrylic paint, hot glue and indoor/outdoor lights. All supplies including the lights will be provided.
