Students of the Month Program

Congratulations to our April Students of the Month, Natalie Tyger (visual art),

I have to tell you that our SOTM in visual art, Natalie Tyger, is at no loss for words when explaining what art and the creative process means to her. She is a junior from Waterville, Her proud parents are Eric Tyger and Bethel Tyger. Natalie eloquently explained that she finds art to be deeply meaningful to her. It brings her a sense of peace and comfort that she can't find anywhere else. When explaining immersing herself in the creative process, she explained she feels at ease and "everything else fades away."

Natalie plans on attending Bowling Green State University and studying fine art with a concentration on ceramics, jewelry, metal, and sculpture. Not only that, she also mentioned that she wants to get involved with the women's hockey program while at B.G. Go Falcons!

Although she has many passions and things that are important to her, Natalie made it a special point to mention that the most important thing in the world to her is the people closest to her. Although she never named them (you know who you are), she said that her loved ones continue to influence and shape the person she is, every day. If you couldn't tell by now, Natalie is a very cool person. We here at AWAAC have zero doubts she will continue to succeed and get cooler wherever the world takes her. Congrats, Natalie!

Congrats to our SOTM for performance art, Jacob Boerst.

Jacob is a senior from Monclova, where he lives with proud parents, Jill and Brian Boerst. A veteran of nine stage shows while at Anthony Wayne, Jacob informed us he has an affinity for music and acting. When writing of his experiences in the school drama program, Jacob mentioned all the wonderful people he met along the way. As a theater kid, Jacob expressed his joy at having group of like-minded people and the sense of belonging that comes with that. We at AWAAC agree....it's great to find your tribe! 

Jacob plans on attending the University of Toledo in the fall. He hopes to major in business, while also concentrating on stage and screen performance. We here at AWAAC suspect we may see your name in lights, someday, Jacob! We are sure that you'll do us all proud. Congrats, Jacob!
