The Roche de Boeuf Festival organized by the Waterville Chamber of Commerce will be held on September 28 in downtown Waterville from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
With a big focus on the arts, this year’s festival will feature a very special artists’ area located on
N. 2nd St. Visitors to the festival will have a chance to view, enjoy and purchase the work of 30 local artisans. This art section named, Rue des Artistes, is organized by the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission. In addition, a special craft booth area will be on N. 3rd Street. This section will have the work of over 50 crafters for sale.
Jewelry, paintings, glasswork, ceramics, garden art, photography, and much more will be part of the beautiful work on display. Two well-known photographers, Jack Schultz and Michael Simpson, will both be sharing their amazing shots of local scenes. Mark Luebke is returning this year with his metal animal creations made from found objects. Both local artists, Shannon Jones and Mary Burget, will be featuring their glass artwork. Christi Meredith from Studio Z Toledo will have her unique handmade pottery on display. Carruth’s will have a booth with lots of George Carruth’s creations available. Many more local artists will be sharing their amazing work at the festival.
Sunshine Studios from Maumee will have a booth selling their work. Sunshine Studios is a community studio, open to artists of all ages and abilities. On weekdays, Sunshine Studios offers art by local painters, photographers, jewelry-makers and others, and it employs more than a dozen men and women with developmental disabilities who work in textiles, clay and other art.
Bittersweet Farms of Whitehouse, Ohio, will have their mobile van filled with artwork as well as products created on the farm. Each product is handcrafted by Bittersweet participants, providing the perfect one-of-a-kind gift. Every purchase directly provides meaningful, paid employment for adults with autism.

The 4th Annual Fallen Timbers Art Festival is a Juried Fine Art show and indoor event that features – and focuses on the sale of – diverse works of art in metal, glass, clay, wood, fiber, jewelry, sculpture, painting, photography, and more. We hold this event to celebrate the wonderfully diverse art and artists of Northwest Ohio and Southeast Michigan as well as to uplift our community while encouraging public interest in collecting the work of outstanding artists. Numerous local artists will be showing their work.
There is no admission fee for the general public to enter the show. This is a non-profit event benefiting the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the creative arts program at Bittersweet Farms.
In addition, the festival will include a wine-tasting that showcases premium Ohio wines. Several amazing local wineries will be on hand offering samples, wine by the glass and bottle sales. Delectable local treats will be offered by select food trucks.

The Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission is proud and pleased to announce we have received a $1000 grant from The Arts Commission to provide support that is critical to the recovery of Toledo/Lucas County community of arts organizations and artists. This grant is part of the American Rescue Plan Act money received by the City of Toledo and Lucas County that was created to provide support to local arts organizations and artists.
The funds will be used by the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission to provide stipends for art leaders and musicians who assist with our many exciting art-related events and activities in the Anthony Wayne community.
AWAAC wishes to extend a sincere thank you to The Arts Commission and Toledo/ Lucas County for making these funds available and approving our grant applications.
The Arts Commission is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization founded in 1959 to foster Toledo’s heritage in the arts. The organization is the longest-standing arts commission in the state of Ohio, serving youth, artists, arts organizations, and the general public. Since 1977, The Arts Commission has managed the City of Toledo’s One Percent for Art program, the first in the state of Ohio and among the first in the nation, and maintains Toledo’s impressive collection of public art.
