General Information: Art & About is a Plein Air event that invites local artists to set up and paint throughout Waterville, Ohio on May 30 - June 4. This is the twelfth annual Art and About event and is sponsored by the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission (AWAAC). There is no fee for artists to participate. The public is invited to watch the artists as they work. Artists can choose locations to paint in the downtown area, along the river and various other scenic and historic locations in Waterville. Artists can paint on the official dates of May 31 through June 4. When and where you paint is totally up to you! A complimentary lunch will be served for artists on May 31.
Artists’ Registration: There is no fee to participate but AWAAC asks that artists register prior to the event. Registration for the event can be made by these 3 ways:

Entering Work for Display: Artists may enter their paintings for display in the AW Inspiration Art Show at the Waterville Branch Library, 800 Michigan Ave. The AW Inspiration Show is not limited to work created at Art & About but can include studio work (all mediums) from any local artist. Drop off for this show is June 5 from 3:30 pm to 7:30 pm. AWAAC representatives will check in and install the work. A maximum of two pieces of artwork per participant may be entered. Entries may be created in the plein air event or maybe studio work.
The paintings will be displayed at the library from June 5 through July 31. No awards will be given this year. Just to add more public interest to the show, the community will be invited to vote for their favorite.
Artwork Pick Up: Artists may pick up their artwork from the library any day that works for them from July 28 through July 31 during regular Waterville Library business hours.

AWAAC is currently lining up art & craft vendors, farmer’s market vendors and non-profit organizations. There is no cost to participate. This is a laid-back, fun event. Bring your own table and chairs. Sell your crafts or artwork, vend your farm produce, or get the word out about your non-profit.
You can participate in one, two or all three Food Truck Tuesdays. However, you must register to let us know what dates you are coming (see below).
Eats & Beats Food Truck Tuesdays, held in Conrad Park in Waterville, welcome a variety of Food Trucks, amazing local musicians, art and craft vendors, and free kids’ crafts.
Past Food Truck events have been very successful. We expect excellent attendance. The park, located near the Waterville Library, is a wonderful venue with a playground for kids, picnic tables and a gazebo for live music performances.

General Information: Artists are invited to display their artwork at the AW Inspiration Art Exhibit sponsored by the Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission. This exhibit will be held at Waterville Branch Library, 800 Michigan Ave., in Waterville, Ohio from June 4 through July 31. The displayed artwork is intended to demonstrate the talent of our many local artists and to raise awareness about these artists. It also invites the public to enjoy the beautiful work of our local artists.
This is not a juried show and there are no awards connected to the exhibit. All mediums are welcome including, but not limited to paintings, photography, sculpture, ceramics, pottery, glass, fiber arts, wooden and metal work. Participating artists are invited to enter 2 pieces of art.
Artwork will be on display at the library beginning on June 5 through July 31. The public will be invited to stop in the library during regular hours to view the work.

The Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission is teaming up with the Anthony Wayne Art Loop to present the Studio Hop. The Anthony Wayne Area Studio Hop is happening on September 6, offering a unique opportunity for artists like you to showcase your work and engage with art lovers and collectors.
What is a Studio Hop? The Anthony Wayne Area Studio Hop is a self-guided tour where the public can visit participating artists’ studios, learn about their process, and purchase artwork directly from the creators. A map of all participating studios will be provided to help guide visitors throughout the event. This event is designed to celebrate local talent and create meaningful connections between artists and their audience.

- Not at all! If you create at home or another location, you can set up a temporary space to welcome visitors in Whitehouse, Monclova, or Waterville.

· Can I sell my work during the event?
- Yes! This is a great opportunity to sell your artwork directly to visitors and collectors.

The Anthony Wayne Area Arts Commission is excited to announce this special artists' area in the annual Roche De Boeuf Festival in Waterville! The festival will feature a very special artists/artisans area called Rue Des Artistes. This amplified focus on the arts will be promoted through television advertising, print media, and social media to help draw even more visitors to the event.
One 10 x 12’ booth space is $100.00 for either section. This is a fee reduction from last year’s event cost. It is permissible to share a booth and split the cost with another participant.
